Whittle the Wood Rendezvous — Craig

Telluride Bluegrass Festival — Telluride

The 53rd annual edition of this four-day festival brings bluegrass, folk, and Americana performers to an open-air stage set in the box canyon of Telluride in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. Founded in 1974, the festival draws artists and audiences from across the country to a setting framed by 13,000-foot peaks on three sides.

FIBArk Whitewater Festival — Salida

America's oldest whitewater festival, dating to 1949, takes place along the Arkansas River in the mountain town of Salida in the heart of the Arkansas River Valley. FIBArk (First In Boating on the Arkansas) features kayak and raft races, a Hooligan Race in which competitors navigate homemade watercraft, a kids' river race, live music, a parade, a street fair, and community events throughout the weekend. Salida's historic downtown, known for its concentration of art galleries, serves as the festival hub.

Strawberry Days Festival — Glenwood Springs

Crested Butte Wildflower Festival — Crested Butte

Now in its 40th year, this multi-day festival in the Gunnison Valley celebrates the blooms that earned this former coal mining town its designation as the Wildflower Capital of Colorado. More than 150 workshops and guided events led by over 40 expert instructors cover alpine hiking, botanical education, photography, painting, pollination science, and culinary arts at elevations between 9,000 and 11,500 feet during peak bloom season.
