Reimbursement Forms

If you’re traveling by car and are 100 miles or more away from your home and have a breakdown or accident, or if your vehicle is stolen while en route, we’ll reimburse you for emergency expenses up to the value of $600 for Classic Members. Requests for reimbursement must be submitted within 60 days of the event.

Reimbursable expenses include:

  • Meals and lodging
  • Car rental
  • Transportation home or to your destination within 72 hours

AAA Plus Members have protection up to $1,000 and AAA Premier Members have protection up to $1,500.

To request reimbursement:

  • Go to the AAA.com website, click on Contact Us at the bottom left corner of any page and then click on Car Travel Interruption Reimbursement Form under Reimbursement & Claim Forms. You can also request a copy of the form at a nearby branch. To find a branch, click here.
  • Complete the form, make a copy for your records, and mail it with the original paid receipt to the address specified on the form. Receipt must be fully paid in the name of the member receiving service.

For complete description including terms, conditions, and exclusions, consult your membership handbook

Roadside Assistance

If you obtain non-AAA roadside assistance without first requesting service from AAA, your reimbursement will be up to the contract rate paid to AAA service providers for similar services.

To obtain reimbursement, follow these steps:

  • On the AAA.com website, click on Contact Us at the bottom left corner of any page. Click on AAA Road Service Reimbursement Form under Reimbursement & Claim Forms. You can also call to request a copy of the form at 800.222.1134 or pick up a copy at a nearby branch. To find a branch near you, click here.
  • Complete the form and mail it with the original paid receipt to AAA. Receipt must be fully paid in the member’s name receiving service.

Requests for reimbursement must be submitted to AAA within 60 days of the date the service was provided.

In fairness to all members, roadside assistance is not to be used as a substitute for proper vehicle maintenance. To help control membership dues, AAA has a call limit on roadside assistance usage.  After the last call, the member may continue to call AAA for service, but must be prepared to pay the service provider for services rendered. These service limits enable AAA to continue providing reliable, high-quality, cost-effective roadside assistance. Consult the member handbook for more details regarding your allotment.

Please note that Primary and Associate Members within the same household have different membership numbers and each is eligible for roadside assistance calls. The membership number used when requesting services will be the account charged with the service call. Multiple service calls for the same problem will be counted separately on your service record. Consult the member handbook for more details.

There may be instances when the road service date is different than the membership renewal date on your membership card. When there may have been a lapse in membership, the membership renewal date may change and road service date may not. This may impact the total number of roadside assistance calls within a specific timeframe.
