Waterlily Celebration — Vero Beach, FL

Held at McKee Botanical Garden, the waterlilies are in full bloom in June. Home to more than 100 different varieties of waterlilies, more than half which are distinguished, the garden offers guided tours, educational demonstrations and local vendors. There is also a photo contest where participants showcase their best waterlily photos in a variety of categories.

Lake Placid Caladium Festival — Lake Placid, FL

Held in what is known as the “Caladium Capital of the World,” the community celebrates the plant that is grown in greater quantities in Highlands County than anywhere else in the world. Created by two competing growers to celebrate the area, the festival features arts and crafts vendors, local food, live entertainment and a classic car and bike show.
