Fly into Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. Meet and Greet Service with transfer to the hotel. Spend the remainder of the day exploring this interesting city.
Anchorage.Area Hotel - 1 night
Enjoy a city tour of Anchorage featuring the historic downtown area, Lake Hood, the busiest seaplane base in the world and Earthquake Park to learn about the 1964 Earthquake followed by the Alaska Native Heritage Center to learn about the history and culture of Alaska. Later, travel along the scenic Seward Highway to the port of Whittier to board your marine vessel for a scenic journey through Prince William Sound to the town of Valdez. The Sound encompasses 10,000 sq miles of protected waterways and 150+ glaciers. Enjoy the pristine waters as you look for marine animals including humpback and orca whales, porpoises, otters, sea lions and seals. (B)
Valdez Area Hotel – 1 night
Enjoy a scenic motor coach journey north to the largest city in the interior, Fairbanks; known as the Golden Heart City. Travel along the beautiful Wrangell- St. Elias National Park, the largest park in the U.S. and along the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. (B)
Fairbanks Area Hotel - 2 nights
Today learn how the Gold Rush affected Alaska's interior on a Fairbanks sightseeing tour with an included visit to the Museum of the North, the only research and teaching museum in Alaska. The museum's research collection - 2.5 million artifacts and specimens - represent millions of years of biological diversit and thousands of years of cultural traditions. Enjoy free time for shopping and dining. Cruise on the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler and experience the thrill of river travel highlighting the Athabascan Native Culture. Tonight, enjoy an authentic salmon bake, a true Alaskan experience! (B, D)
You will be taken to the Fairbanks Rail Depot where you will board a deluxe dome railcar for a scenic train journey to Denali National Park. This afternoon, enjoy an interpretative hike along Otto Lake at the Denali Discovery Center. The 3-mile trail passes through two main forest types, lowland black spruce swamp and upland forest dominated by quaking aspend and paper birch trees. Enjoy a reception with light refreshments and a “Welcome to Denali” talk in preparation for tomorrow's Tundra Wilderness Tour. (B, Reception)
Denali Area Hotel - 2 nights
Travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour ++ and search the vast wilderness for The Big Five - bears, moose, caribou, wolves and Dall sheep. This six-to-eight-hour journey is narrated by a Park Ranger giving insight into the animals, flora and fauna of this region. Enjoy a snack on the bus. Early May & September tours are shortened due to road conditions. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring at your leisure. There are many excursions to choose from including mild or wild river rafting, flight-seeing, a jet boat safari on the Nenana River or a visit to an Iditarod champions award winning dog kennel. Tonight enjoy the Denali Dinner Theater. (B, Snack, D)
Late morning, board a deluxe motor coach for a scenic drive to the quaint town of Talkeetna, which began in 1916 as the headquarters of the Alaska Railroad as well as a trading post when gold was first discovered. Watch for a glimpse of Mt. Denali or black bear along the banks of the Susitna River. Enjoy free time to explore Talkeetna. Tonight, after a scenic drive to Anchorage, share stories of your Alaskan adventure with your fellow travelers at an included closing night dinner. (B, D)

Your adventure comes to an end with a transfer to the airport for your onward journey home. (B)
